The human side of the author

Besides writing and endless revising, life in Milan is finally getting back to bearable. The heatwave seems to have passed and I can walk outside again without sweat soaking through my shirt.

Did you know that Italians never drink cappuccino after the morning? It's as taboo around here as putting pineapple on pizza.

I’m doing an ARC read for a fellow indie author. Called Starfall, it is the start of a series that, while I’m not sure how it will be marketed, seems geared to young adult readers. It has some great ideas and a decent story, but with a later released date, I hope it’s going to get some editing love.

Not so Indie, I am also listening to the audiobook of William Gibson’s Neuromancer. As many less-than-modern classics, it starts a little slow but I’m enjoying it. I’ll also check out the upcoming adaptation, so I’ll be glad have this off my TBR before that comes out.
