Popeyes in Milan

I'm not a fast-food fan and never go to the ones we have in Italy. McDonald's is popular, Burger King seems to do alright, and some of my Italian friends love KFC.

Domino's Pizza had an aggressive start, opening so many stores. Any Italian I know that tried it, has never had a second pizza from them. All their stores in Italy are now closed. Who could have seen that coming? Me. And most likely, anybody.

(Side Note: It blew my mind to see Taco Bell in Helsinki.)

When in the metro station the other day, I had to stop to be sure my eyes saw what my brain thought they did. Popeyes is making a go for Italy. Yes, I will be there to try it out next week. It may the only time I do. Vediamo... (We'll see)

One thing about American fast-food chains in Europe: it is often a higher quality as the food standards here as elevated. That, IMHO, isn't enough to make them good.
